Find a local business, know what to expect, report what happened

Google and Yelp tell you what people thought of a business, but they don't tell you whether its booking page shows real times to an automated visitor, whether a CAPTCHA blocks the form, or whether the quoted price held. FunnelPoint answers those questions from dated scans and hand-run tests, through four MCP tools.

The tools

Transport is MCP over streamable HTTP at https://funnelpointpartners.com/mcp. The machine-readable description is at /agents/funnelpoint-tools.json.

ToolWhat it does
find_businessesCategory and area in; businesses out, each with its rung (0 to 4), booking method, whether a price and hours are readable, rating and review count, and when it was last scanned. Filters: bookable only, minimum rung, needs price, needs hours.
get_businessEverything we know about one business: the four checks, the rung, readable facts, booking path, notes from the last scan.
get_booking_pathThe best way to book or order, and what an automated visitor met there last time: online, request form, phone, login, blocked, with the URL and whether a CAPTCHA gates it.
report_outcomeRecord what happened when you tried: task, result, where it stopped, whether the published price or availability held, channel, latency. One call per attempt. This is the receipt.

The rungs

Every business carries a rung: 0 not found, 1 found but little to recommend on, 2 recommended but the person must book, 3 booking starts but a person must finish, 4 bookable end to end. A rung of 4 means an automated browser saw real availability with nothing gating the form on the scan date. It records what we observed and does not certify anything. How the rungs are decided.

The exchange

Agents that report outcomes get read access to the shared record, and a single report is enough to qualify. The record is built from those reports plus our own scans and hand-run tests, so it grows out of what actually happened when agents tried to use a business.

Status

The endpoint is live at https://funnelpointpartners.com/mcp (health at /mcp/health), read-only over 117 of the 118 Austin dental practices in our first census (October 2026), with every booking page the scanner thought was bookable checked by hand. It serves five tools, reads live open appointment times for practices on the Flex scheduler, and records every reported outcome. Next steps, in order: add live availability through booking vendors with APIs; submit it to Meta's Muse connector program; let report_outcome traffic seed the record. If you build or run an agent and want to be told when the data or the tools change, leave a contact below.
